Nestled in the lap of mighty Himalaya, Kullu derives its name from word “Kulant Peeth”, meaning “end of the habitable world”. This edition of Great Himalayan Outdoors Events will introduce travelers to the base camp of Mount Deo Tibba 6001 meters.
The 6001 m high Deo Tibba is 2.37 km south-southwest of the Indrasan, the highest mountain of the Pir Panjal mountain range. The mountain is located in the extreme east of the mountain range in the Kullu district. Deo Tibba is located just 20 km east of the city of Manali. The mountain is covered by a large ice cap. There are several hanging glacier on its flanks. The northwest and southwest flanks of Deo Tibba are drained to the Beas.
Embark with us on thrilling Adventure to explore Deo Tibba Glacier area, with a visit to Chandrataal Lake at foot of the peak. The trek commences from a village Rumsu, as we hike up to Chikka, a sudden change in the topography amazes and we reach Chikka for early evening. On day two continue along gushing Jagatsukh nullah, to reach expansive meadows of Seri which once was a glacial lake! Day three marks our ascent up to Lake Chandrataal offering stunning views of Deo Tibba and for evening hike down to Chikka. Following morning concluding your Himalayan Adventure hike down from Chikka to village Rumsu and drive to Manali.

Day 01: Jagatsukh – Rumsu – Khanol – Chikka
Arrive Jagatsukh village and commence the hike initially on the gravel road leading to the Jagatsukh Hydro project and then further to the meadows of Chikka. As we ascend the hike offers stunning views of the mirrored mountain ranges. Further from Khanol walk along Jagatsukh nullah through the last grooves of the trees and camp by the Riverside.
Overnight in tents.

Day 02: Chikka - Seri
After breakfast, continue along gurgling Jagatsukh Nullah, with captivating views of towering snowcapped peaks to your left. Reach Seri for early evening and camp on the expansive meadows, by the river side.
The milky waterfall and the snow capped mountains will be an enchanting site! Enjoy bonfire under the night full of stars followed by dinner. Overnight in tents.

Day 03: Seri – Tentu – Lake Chandrataal – Seri – Chikka
Today tie your boots tight to embark on an adventurous day hike to Lake Chandrataal mirrored by gigantic glacier of Mount Deo Tibba. The hike is an inclusion of Height Gaining, negotiating Moraine and Glacier with the astonishing view of Deo Tibba!
Hiking duration: 07 – 08 hours
Day 04: Chikka – Khanol – Rumsu - Jagatsukh
Bidding goodbye to the mountains, today after breakfast, hike down to Rumsu village and to Jagatsukh.
